Elliot’s Beach forms the end-point of the Marina Beach shore and is named after Edward Elliot, Governor of Madras. Located in Besant Nagar, one can reach there simply by following the road along the coast towards south from Marina beach. ‘Fortunate me’ had the company of Kevin, my friend settled in Chennai and his car. So all I had to worry about was about the photographs to be clicked.
Popularly known as ‘Bessie’, Elliot’s Beach is set in a tranquil and clean surrounding and has a wide choice of restaurants and fast food joints for you to enjoy while viewing the sea waves. But nothing beats the char grilled corns (bhutta). Once on the beach I was immediately netted by the sparks from the grill machines all around. And all I did was try to capture the soaring sparks from one grill to another.
